I’ve been meaning to write this post for a while, and now that it is officially Breast Cancer Awareness Month it seemed like the ideal time to lastly publish it. According to Cancer Investigation UK, 1 in eight girls will be diagnosed with breast cancer at some point in their lifetime, and but placing this post together took a lot of research because it is actually hard to discover pretty mastectomy bras!

Possibly that is due to the fact the majority of breast cancer diagnoses take place in women aged 50+, a market that is all also often ignored by the brands designing fashionable and attractive lingerie. It is just untrue that older females only want bland, beige underthings, but I digress. Whatever the explanation for the lack of possibilities is, I do know one point, and that’s that females who’ve undergone surgery for breast cancer deserve to have fairly and luxurious possibilities obtainable to them too.

My 10 Favourite Everyday Bras

Author: Estelle

Disclosure: This weblog post consists of affiliate hyperlinks.

As the title suggests, right now I’m sharing with you my favourite each day bra. I share an annual round-up of my favourite purchases, but this is a tiny distinct. For 1 thing, this is just about bras, but this is also a list of my favourite factors that truly get worn on a standard basis.

I have some bras that appear like they’d be ideal every day options (the Claudette Dessous springs to thoughts) but are just not comfortable adequate, and then there are the super fancy bras that I am completely thrilled to own (such as La Lilouche’s Adelle) but which are either as well impractical or also delicate to put on really often. So featured here today are these bras that have that elusive combination of fit, comfort and practicality – providing a smooth line beneath clothing getting the main sensible problem I care about. A lot of of these bras I’ve had for a year or more, and they’re constantly the ones I attain for very first when I’m receiving dressed for function or a day out.

lagent-by-agent-provocateur-marisela-bra-in-blue

L’Agent by Agent Provocateur Marisela bra

Buy at The Outnet (UK), Shopbop (USA), Macy’s (USA) or see existing eBay listings here

After releasing this bra in a number of colourways, it appears L’Agent has discontinued it – even though I’m maintaining my fingers crossed it’ll reappear! I’m kicking myself for not buying one particular (no, 3) in every single colour, since it’s just so excellent in each way – the mostly-moulded cups do not show beneath clothes, the match is spot-on, it is wonderfully comfy to wear, and it manages to do all that and look amazing also. Oh, and it was reasonably priced. Dream bra. Read my full evaluation here.

vivi2anna-rose-print-handmade-bra

Vivi2Anna Rose Print bra

Buy on Etsy (ships from Latvia)

Vivi2Anna is my favourite indie brand for chic, underwired bras – and a single of only two brands that characteristics on this list twice. This Rose Print bra is 1 of my most-worn bras. The cups are unlined but still produce a smooth, rounded shape, and it’s truly comfy to wear. The plunge shape tends to make it valuable for V-necked clothing as well. Oh, and it’s at the moment on sale for below £17! Read my complete review here.

maison-lejaby-black-t-shirt-bra

Maison Lejaby Nuage three-element balconette bra

Buy on Figleaves (UK) or Simply Undies (UK)

This is the plainest bra I personal, and honestly, I only purchased it due to the fact I saw it on clearance for £4 somewhere and was curious about Maison Lejaby’s match and high quality. I never ever in a million years anticipated it would end up getting a bra I wear each single week! Nuage is French for ‘cloud’, and that’s how this bra feels when worn. I’m wearing it correct now and even trying to, I can’t feel that it is there! Not only is this bra ridiculously comfy, the match is excellent and it creates a perfectly round, smooth shape that just performs below any outfit I want to put on. Do I want it came in bright pink or a exciting print? Sure. But would I get it once more in plain ol’ black? Yes, ten instances over. I’m not arranging to overview it but take this as a cheesy two thumbs up from me!

agent-provocateur-fifi-bra-in-black

Agent Provocateur Fifi bra

See existing eBay listings right here

Fifi was part of Agent Provocateur’s Classics (now called Icons) range, a choice of timeless AP favourites, and I can see why. They brought it out in at least four colourways, and I do hope it tends to make a comeback! I am also nonetheless trawling eBay for a set my size in red. I enjoy this bra due to the fact it’s a luxurious design, but not too ‘out there’ for everyday put on, it’s just an sophisticated and high-priced-hunting take on a Little Black Bra. The textured fabric performs just fine under all but the clingiest of clothes, the bra is comfortable and a close-to-excellent fit, and best of all I’ve owned it considering that 2013 and it’s nonetheless in excellent condition. Study my full overview right here.

bras-without-wires-superhero-silver-sparkly-bralette

Bras Without having Wires Superhero bralette

Okay so full disclosure, I was sent this bra free by the brand. Nevertheless, I promise the gushing evaluation I gave it at the time was entirely honest – this is yet another bra that I now put on on a weekly basis. No bralette is going to give you precisely the very same assistance – and surely not the shape – you’d get from a wired bra, but this one particular comes close to it! The lining is like butter against the skin, and of course I adore this it is glitzy and sparkly as well as becoming a very practical bra. Bras With no Wires’ website is at present down and has been for a even though which is why I haven’t incorporated a link to acquire, but from the looks of factors you can get in touch with them through Facebook to purchase until they (I hope) get back up and running again properly. Study my full review here.

lepel-fiore-pink-plunge-bra

Lepel Fiore plunge bra

Buy on House of Fraser (UK), Merely Undies (UK), Figleaves (UK), ASOS (UK, USA &amp much more), Belle Lingerie (UK), Lepel’s personal internet site (UK) and many much more besides

This is a continuity bra from Lepel so it is effortless-peasy to get hold of, and comes in a entire bunch of colours as well. Vibrant pink is quite a lot my point, but don’t rule it out if it is not yours! It is also routinely on sale. The fit is close to perfect, and the complete bra is super soft so it is beautiful for all-day put on. The cups have removable cookies so you can even out the match on asymmetrical breasts. Regardless of the plunge shape, the fancy trim does not make it really practical for wearing with V-necks as those pointy bits show. Even so, after owning the bra for a year and a half, I’m pleased to say it’s nevertheless in outstanding situation. Study my complete review right here.

dita-von-teese-star-lift-bra-in-purple

Dita Von Teese Star Lift bra

Get at Figleaves (UK), HerRoom (USA), Bare Necessities (USA) or see present eBay listings right here

Like the Marisela at the prime of this post, the Star Lift bra gives me a smooth shape beneath clothes even with the wide lace trim. I wouldn’t say it’s the most comfortable bra on this list, but I can wear it all day no dilemma. This hasn’t been integrated in Dita’s most current collection but just before that it was released in lots of different colours (and lots of sizes – up to 42F), and it is nevertheless easy to pick up on eBay at the time of writing. Read my complete review here.

vivi2anna-silver-celebration-sparkly-bra

Vivi2Anna Silver Celebration bra

Buy on Etsy (ships from Latvia)

Right here it is, the second Vivi2Anna bra that I cannot get enough of! The cups have an virtually full-coverage shape so it only operates with greater necklines, but it has a good and comfortable match, and delivers adequate help for those days when I’m walking all more than town. It’s also genuinely nicely-produced and surprisingly inexpensive, regardless of the reality it is handmade. Study my complete overview here.

lara-catherine-collections-josaphine-bralette

Lara Catherine Collections Josaphine bralette

Buy on Lara Catherine Collections’ site (Argentina)

Another disclosure here that I was sent this bra by the designer. It provides no assistance whatsoever, but that’s fine because often I do not care about lift and shape, I just want something cute and comfy. This bra fits that bill perfectly. It is also fairly low-cost (£13.99, which is genuinely low-cost for handmade) and it is literally the only bra I own that doesn’t show underneath some V-necked, spaghetti-strapped dresses I have. Study my complete review right here.

agent-provocteur-hyacinth-bra

Agent Provocateur Hyacinth bra

See current eBay listings right here

This may possibly strike some as an odd decision for an every day bra – it is the most luxurious and pricey a single that I put on routinely, and the leavers lace is delicate for confident – but it’s just so comfy and with plenty of TLC has lasted me quite effectively. In fact, I snagged the lace for the 1st time taking this photo! The bra has lightweight lift and support, but most of all I enjoy that it is a vibrant splash of colour to pick me up on those grey, also-early mornings. I place this bra on and all of a sudden I really feel a tiny much more place-collectively and prepared for the day ahead. Though it is now long gone at Agent Provocateur, there usually seem to be a handful of knocking about on eBay (no, these ones making use of my photo aren’t getting sold by me, this bra’s staying firmly in my possession. I just take fairly photos I guess). Read my complete assessment here.

That’s it for my leading ten. Which are your favourite everyday bras, and what’s most crucial to you about them such as comfort, assistance, style and so forth.?

Plus Size Bra Shopping: Nude Bras for Brown Skin

Elomi's Raquel Side Support in Taupe, band sizes to 44

Elomi’s Raquel Side Assistance in Taupe, band sizes to 44

Ever given that the initial launch of Nubian Skin, there’s been an improved level of coverage dedicated to brands making undergarments in shades of nude which look organic on a selection of skin tones. In addition to the a number of pieces on TLA alone (here, here, here, here and right here), a quick Google search revealed countless articles on the subject and brands aiming to resolve the issue. I’ve been very excited about the level of consideration the situation and the brands have received, but disappointed that most of the create-ups haven’t incorporated far more choices for bras in bigger band sizes or mention of the reality that these lines do not contain bigger sizes. I’m locating myself with the same feelings in light of the current press surrounding the launch of Naja, who have branded themselves with the tagline “nude for all” (up to band size 40). I appreciate the strides towards inclusiveness, but want to see them occurring simultaneously on multiple fronts.

Description of the Naja's brand statement.

Description of the Naja’s brand statement.

I’ve been equally disappointed by the reality that up until recently, “nude” bras in my size have been only offered in 1 color and the lack of strong marketing imagery inclusive of fat bodies. I personally desire access to have undergarments that could successfully disappear below garments.

naja lingerie

Considering that my initial disappointment, a few items have changed:

  • I’ve read and learned more about smaller sized firms in the lingerie industry.  Learning about the nature of the industry has helped me refine my private understanding and expectations. What it hasn’t carried out is change the easy fact that there is a demonstrable gap in the market. I also continue to feel that my body is afterthought to be tended to following core clients are served or that my body is a monetary threat that most brands (large or small) don’t feel is worth taking on. I do understand that little brands frequently have limited sources, so I believe that it is critical to also query larger brands that currently develop bras in larger band sizes on the lack of a “nude undergarments for all” ethos.
  • Nubian Skin has extended their band sizing. Nevertheless, this only extends the brand’s sizes up to a 40, so while this is progress, I’m nonetheless sized out and the FAQ on their internet site states that a lot of designs run tiny in the band. I wouldn’t be able to even try to try the line till they expand their sizes. It is worth noting that the brand has launched a plus-size hosiery line but I’d rather have a bra than hosiery. I envision numerous other folks would most likely really feel the same way and whilst we appreciate the acknowledgement of bigger bodies and the commitment to hearing the feedback from potential clients, I’m continuing to patiently wait my turn for bras and knickers.  If you haven’t already, please think about taking the survey and requesting bigger band sizes.
  • Other larger firms that sell bras in bigger band sizes have began creating bras targeted towards these with brown skin. The range of shades generally is not as wide as what a brand that specializes in this would supply, but it is one thing. It is also worth noting a large portion of the appeal of brands like Nubian Skin or Naja is acquiring to see models in a assortment of skin colors wear the solution. At a number of points throughout my search, I realized that the visual marketing and advertising element is mostly missing from the “a nude for everyone” experience in bras accessible in bigger band sizes. Several brands employed white models to sell their few lone brown bra options. This is significantly less of the fault of the firms that make the bras, but the retailers that sell them. I would really like to see the exact same imagery the aforementioned brands create replicated on larger bodies.

With all of this info in the back of my head, I decided to seek out options suitable for me. My only specifications were that the bra was obtainable in at least a 44 band size and that it could function as a nude on skin that is brown. While I’m disappointed I couldn’t uncover more possibilities that replicated the aesthetic of brands that carry only smaller bands, I am impressed at the relative rate of growth. Several of the alternatives presented beneath didn’t exist a year or two ago.

Even though I have previously expressed unfavorable feelings about Cacique, there aren’t sufficient alternatives elsewhere in this category for me to ignore this choice.

The above bra, along with a this selection in Cafe Mocha (a colour that appears flexible based on the wearer) are the only items that actually stood out to me.

Torrid’s offerings are very promising and if your band size is sold out online, it could be worth checking your regional shop. I appreciate the range of colors offered, even if I’m a bit disappointed in Torrid’s choice to not marketplace these bras as nude by means of their model decision.

Nordstrom’s alternatives have been limited. The bra above and the Cate by Elomi in a shade referred to as Pecan had been my favorites of what was obtainable.

Bare Necessities had a handful of winners as well. In addition to the Raquel by Elomi (featured at the prime of the post), I was also fond of this Cate Side assistance bra in Pecan.

Even though this bra by Goddess from HerRoom.com isn’t my favored from an aesthetic standpoint, the rich colour and band sizing made it worthy of mentioning.

Natori Plus Size bra in Brunette (band sizes up to 44)

Natori Plus Size bra in Brunette (band sizes up to 44)

I was pleasantly surprised by the quantity of possibilities I found on Amazon. Even though some of these things have been discovered elsewhere, Amazon had sizes in stock that were at times unavailable at other retailers. While this selection from Natori was my preferred, I also identified options up to band size 48 (this 1 by Glamorise and this a single by Elomi), band size 50 (this a single by Bali) and a single at a extremely budget friendly value point (band size up to 44).

Trying on a nude for me - Lane Bryant's French Almond

Trying on a nude for me – Lane Bryant’s French Almond

I ended up deciding to attempt the bra from Cacique as it was a single of the alternatives that suited my private preferences a lot more. I’m fairly content with the color, but I’m not sure that this will be a permanent resolution for me. I definitely wish that there had been much more alternatives offered, specially alternatives that are a bit sleeker in appearance. I was also shocked by the relative reputation of bras in this shade variety that were minimizer bras. Do you really feel the require to have a nude bra? What designs would you like to see in colors like these? How would you really feel if someone created a line of “nudes for all” style bras exclusively in larger bands?

Evaluation: Bras Without Wires Superhero Bra

(Above: Bras With no Wires Superhero bra and ViVi2Anna Silver Celebration thong)

Author: Estelle

Disclaimer: This bra was sent to me free of charge to be reviewed. My opinions are, as usually, 100% honest.

Back in March Stephanie from Bras With out Wires got in touch to introduce her brand, which was launched right after she was diagnosed with breast cancer and couldn’t uncover beautiful, unwired bras in her size to wear for the duration of therapy. Bras Without Wires has recently introduced its first key collection, which is obtainable in UK sizes 30-36 A-DD and 38 A-D, and from which $ 1 is donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation for each bra sold.

Whilst I didn’t agree with every part of the pitch or web site messaging (which is that unwired bras are a smarter selection – I uncover underwires completely comfortable and I’m fairly certain there’s been no conclusive proof that they’re negative for you), I agreed to evaluation a bra simply because there was one bit that resonated with me.

According to Stephanie’s investigation, “74% of girls would choose to wear a non-wired bra if it supplied the exact same support”. I’m not positive that I would favor unwired bras if that had been the case, but I’d surely wear a whole lot a lot more of them! Bras Without Wires claims to offer you “all the support” of a wired bra, so I was actually intrigued to try one out.

Bras Without Wires review

Appearance

There are 5 collections to select from, and although I really like the longline satin and lace Paris bra, I really can’t resist a bit of shimmer so the sparkly silver Superhero bra it was. Side note: amazing item name!

Superhero is a strictly restricted-edition bra that has currently sold out in a single size. I’d liked it from the off, but I loved it even far more when I took it out of its branded organza storage bag and saw it up close.

The bra is made from a mixture of smooth, gunmetal-grey fabric on the cups and bolder, sparklier silver fabric on the band. The back of the bra is plain black, but not at all boring thanks to the reflective silver elastic which is utilized on the straps and also follows the band around to the centre-fastening.

General, I truly adore it – all the entertaining of sparkly metallics done in a chic and sophisticated way.

Verdict: 8 / 10

Bras Without Wires bra review

Building

The Superhero bra is created from gorgeous, prime-top quality fabrics, like an organic Australian cotton backing that is super soft and comfy against the skin. The sewing is all neat and secure.

The most exciting portion of the bra’s construction although is something that is not even mentioned in the item description – there’s a stiff ‘ridge’ inside the bra that runs all the way from the outer cup across to the other side.

Considering that it is not talked about on the web site, I don’t even know if it is intentional or just a specifically thick seam, but it acts in a comparable way to an underwire (a uni-wire!) – it sits in the same spot under the breast, providing lightweight support and keeping the cups securely in place.

Oh, and I also loved that the Superhero bra does not include any labels! Rather, the care guidelines are printed right onto the fabric, in silver, so the inside of the bra is totally smooth and comfy all the way about.

Verdict: 10 / ten

Bras Without Wires Superhero bra review

Fit

Bras Without Wires’ Superhero bra is offered from a 32A, so I sister sized up and asked for a 32DD. And I’m content to report that the fit is totally, one hundred% spot-on!

It is specifically the appropriate size in the cups for me – no gaping, no spilling out when I lean more than – and the band is firm but comfortable. Possibly a small tighter than most 32s in that respect, but I think you’ll be fine in your usual size.

And that just-as-supportive-as-a-wired-bra claim? I have to say, I was super impressed by this bra. It does not give the very same shape as a wired bra (nothing’s going to give you that standard rounded shape but molding or underwires), but I discovered it no significantly less supportive than a single. With the wide band, double-layered fabric and that funny ridge function, this bra offers me very a lot of lift and stays firmly in location all day long.

Verdict: 10 / ten

Sparkly silver bralette

Durability

I’ve been wearing this bra quite much non-quit considering that I received it. Every time it’s freshly washed, it’s the first point I reach for in my lingerie drawer. Yet regardless of all that wear and (hand) washing, it seriously looks as excellent as new. According to the care guidelines you can machine wash it on a cold setting as well.

Verdict: 10 / 10

Bras Without Wires Annie Get Your Gun review

Value for Cash

The Bras With out Wires Superhero bra costs $ 109.09 (that’s Australian dollars, not US) which works out to roughly £54 or $ 78 US. Gorgeous fabrics, solid building, great comfort… I think it is worth every penny.

(Not giving it 10 out of 10 simply because I feel there are comparable bras offered for a similar price that are much more locally created, but do not let that put you off this one).

Verdict: 8 / ten

Bras Without Wires sparkly silver bra review

Final Thoughts

Honestly, I’m quite blown away by this bra. I didn’t anticipate to like it as a lot as I do. I believe Stephanie has nailed the combination of aesthetic, assistance and comfort. Fortnight Lingerie (which I haven’t attempted personally) has lengthy been praised for its supportive bralettes, but they could now have a serious rival in that niche.

I do want the brand didn’t feel the need to hate on wired bras in order to sell its unwired ones, but nonetheless I recommend Bras With no Wires if you are seeking for a supportive and glamorous bralette. I’ll be maintaining an eye on their site to see what else they release in future collections – I would entirely get this bra once more in red, or gold!

What do you feel of this Superhero bra, and Bras Without Wires in general? Would you wear wireless bras more frequently if they supplied greater support?

Bras to Bewitch: A Closer Look at Coco de Mer

Author: Estelle

Disclosure: This blog post is sponsored by Coco de Mer, and consists of affiliate links.

Last week I featured Coco de Mer’s Spring/Summer time 2016 collection, a tantalising blend of luxury and eroticism that is the hallmark of this British brand. I was offered a likelihood to take a closer look at some of the pieces, and how was I going to turn down an chance to see that amazing Medusa bra in actual life?!

Coco de Mer’s new collection contains five main bra styles: cupless, quarter cupped, half-cupped, cutaway-gore designs and semi-sheer, lacy bralets. You’ll notice there are no ‘normal’ bras right here, no full-coverage ones – that’s not Coco de Mer’s style. This is a brand that oozes sex appeal and is all about the tease.

I picked out my favourite of every single of the wired bra types to check out in detail – lookbooks are lovely, but they cannot replace seeing and touching a item in true life. High quality fabrics, perfectly-executed stitching, finer details… most of what tends to make luxury lingerie luxurious only becomes apparent when you have the garment correct in front of you.

Please note that the bras featured right here have been loaned press samples and this is not intended to be a evaluation. Although I couldn’t resist trying them on (poor thought: I am now forced to save up for a cupless Sylph bra of my own!), the samples didn’t have size labels in so I can’t make any comments on fit.

Coco de Mer Sylph white cupless bra

Coco de Mer Sylph cupless bra

The Cupless Bra

Sylph longline open bra in white, £85

Laid flat, Sylph appears like a rather basic bra – but once on, it’s spectacular! It is made from a smooth, sleek silk-satin at the front and sheer mesh at the back, with narrow, rouleau elastic straps that are both delicate and striking at the identical time.

With a long, hook-and-eye front fastening and double crossover strap detail at the back, Sylph is anything but plain. Though thanks to the fully cupless style, dressing it up a bit far more would be as easy as selecting some decorative nipple pasties or tassels to go with it!

Coco de Mer Dinah quarter cup bra

The Quarter Cup Bra

Dinah quarter cup bra, £145

Coco de Mer’s Dinah range features an exclusive embroidery, a botanical design on sheer tulle that offers the edges of the cups and band a superb, leafy finish.

Lined in silk and finished with gold-tone hardware, it’s an sophisticated and beautiful bra that wouldn’t appear out of spot in a bridal trousseau. Coco de Mer recommends to wear it with the matching thong, but I’m far more drawn to the beautiful silk and lace French knicker which would balance out the ouvert bra if you want a look that’s a lot more teasing than revealing.

Coco de Mer Persephone bra

Coco de Mer Persephone red bra

The Half Cup Bra

Persephone half cup bra in red, £85

Please note that this red version is from final season – the SS16 version is identical but black and can be observed here.

A small less revealing than the two bras above, but no much less erotic, this half-cupped bra is made from smooth silk satin with thick, velvet strapping. I especially like the plush velvet – it’s super soft and comfortable, and a slightly a lot more unusual and luxe finish than the satin strapping most other brands use.

Persephone is completed with thick, generously-sized gold metal rings and strap sliders, and there’s a gorgeous matching knicker offered with huge cut-outs framed by far more velvet elastic.

Coco de Mer Medusa bra

Coco de Mer Mudusa cutaway gore bra

The Cutaway Gore Bra

Medusa halter bra, £105

This final bra is one of my favourite styles I’ve noticed so far this year, not least since it follows a new trend that I can’t get adequate of – ‘cutaway’ gores. It’s like the vertical version of a half-cupped bra the cups come up to a typical height but only come element-way across, creating it an unusual cross amongst a plunge and a balcony style.

Medusa requires this a single step additional, leaving that uncommon gore detail to peek out from under criss-crossed, semi-matt strapping in a way that frames the bust beautifully.

This was the bra I was most excited to see up close. Portion bondage-inspired lingerie, element style statement, this is a bra that is just crying out to be noticed poking out from a low-necked best, or beneath a sheer blouse! The strapping is held in place with eight custom eyelets shaped like tiny cocos de mer, a stunning and distinctly distinctive finishing touch that you won’t locate anywhere else.

You can shop the complete Coco de Mer Spring/Summer 2016 collection here.

Which of these bras is your favourite? Are you a fan of cupless, quarter-cupped and half-cupped bra designs in basic?

Bras N Things ‘Larissa’ Babydoll. I’ve always liked babydoll…

Bras N Things ‘Larissa’ Babydoll. I’ve constantly liked babydoll types in theory, but have struggled to discover ones that flatter my body. That is, becoming full of bust and little of waist they have a tendency to drop straight or puff out and make me look twice the size I am (I have the very same issue with empire line anything). Somehow ‘Larissa’ manages to stay away from that. The bra component is made of floral lace, fits appropriately, I ordered a 10D and the size was correct. The cups are placed fairly closely with each other, lightly padded in this size (I believe the smaller cup sizes have much more padding), producing considerable cleavage and there is a modest centre diamante detail. I like that it gives this ‘push’ towards the center, rather than actually creating the breasts appear larger or larger up. Thumbs up for that! I feel the fact the bra element fits nicely- flush to rib-cage, no bulging or spilling- the skirting fabric actually does drop straight down from beneath the bust, as opposed to sticking out like a lot of do. This, combined with the mid-weight tulle, signifies it drops down and clings to body just before flaring out at the hip. This is a lot far more flattering in my opinion, as even with a bust, you nonetheless get more of a shape from the waist, in spite of the empire line. I enjoy the retro slumber celebration vibes of this piece, quite ‘Valley of The Dolls’- I appreciate subtle nods in style that can either be overlooked or played up and exaggerated if you know your reference and pick to do so. This is très cute and nicely-priced contemplating the good match of the bra and overall flattering interpretation of the babydoll style.

Bras N Things ‘Rosie’ Plunge Bra, Suspender and G-string. This…

Bras N Things ‘Rosie’ Plunge Bra, Suspender and G-string. This has been a surprise addition to what I call my ‘Wearable 3-Pieces’. That is, it’s a bra/suspender/bottoms set that is completely functional, even if it’s marketed or intended to be ‘sexy’. If your taste in underwear tends to run basic, I can see how this would be considered ‘fancy’ lingerie. If that’s the case, I definitely recommend it. However, as someone who’s lingerie is a little more elaborate&amphellip well, I’d still recommend it! I thought this would be a great, simple set for beneath skirts and dresses on days I wanted to wear stockings and I was right. It’s a sheer pale pink lace, over pale pink opaque stretch fabric, with black piping detail. The black detail extends to a strappy, cut-out feature on the back of the suspender that I like. The suspender belt is also lightly boned (which I really like) as it holds in place and feels a bit more secure and shaping. The g-string is a simple V shape, comfortable and doesn’t move on me, as most do. I forget I’m wearing it, which is rare for me with any thong style. The bra is a moulded cup with good lift. I find the fit great and the sizing spot on. Again, very comfy. Being a mid-range bracket and style, the hardware and fabric are OK and good for the cost, but of course, not luxury or anything. That is fine and to be expected at this reasonable price point, as this set’s strong point is definitely it’s fantastic fit and comfort levels, as well as it’s ability to walk the line between simple and special.‘Rosie’ styles by Bras N Things HERE

Bras N Things ‘Louisa’ Plunge Bra and Thong. To be truthful, it…

Bras N Things ‘Louisa’ Plunge Bra and Thong. To be honest, it was the colours of this set that drew me to it and not the shape or style. I don’t usually wear push-up bras OR thongs as I find the first unnecessary (I’m usually trying to make my bust appear smaller, not larger) and the latter uncomfortable. But I loved the intermingled shades of pink, purple, blue and green on floral lace and to me they had a quirky, ‘80s tropical’ vibe. I’ve actually found this to be a good basic set though and I especially love the thin straps on both pieces and simple shapes, as these aspects make ‘Louisa’ a very versatile option for beneath a wide variety of outerwear. The thong is a simple, ‘V’ string style. Unlike a lot of them, this doesn’t ride up on me, move around or cut in. The bra I like a lot more than I though I would, unlike the hugely padded push-ups of the Victoria’s Secret variety, this just gives my breasts a lot of LIFT and ‘push-together’, rather than an actual massive size increase. It creates a ridiculously hot silhouette beneath a black strappy singlet! The quality is mid-range and good for price- especially considering how comfortable it has been since it’s first was, where softened up considering, I ordered a 10(32)d and 10(US4) and sizing for both was perfect. I really like ‘Louisa’ and it’s been one of my more surprising, sneaker sets. Bras N Things ‘Louisa’ here
