Agent Provocateur Christmas Sale – 2016 Prime Picks

This will be my final post prior to Christmas, which is in fact tomorrow as far as I’m concerned – we’re spending it with my fiancé’s household who have their massive Christmas meal on the 24th and then open presents at midnight. I will also be offline for the subsequent couple of days, so I wanted to take this chance to want all of my readers a very beautiful Christmas. I hope Santa brings you whatever lingerie you have been dreaming of, but if he doesn’t, there’s often the Agent Provocateur Christmas sale to treat yourself with 😉

I have to say I’ve been a little disillusioned with Agent Provocateur of late. This was 1 of the extremely 1st luxury lingerie brands I ever discovered, and undoubtedly the one I’ve purchased the most from, but I’ve only spent £25 with them this year. I always looked to them for styles that have been fresh and exciting and new, but for the final couple of seasons I’ve felt like that innovation has been missing. The lingerie is as luxurious as ever, but aside from the odd piece (I do not dislike everything) it just feels like more of the very same. Is that just me?

For instance, they are only not too long ago beginning to release bralettes, arguably the most significant lingerie trend of the previous couple of years, and it is strange seeing a brand that’s generally making the trends attempt to play catch-up alternatively. It’s a shame, simply because I actually would have loved to have noticed what Agent Provocateur could have come up with if they’d taken this trend and run with it.

Still, if what you are looking for is just very quite lingerie, Agent Provocateur will usually do that properly. And with numerous pieces now as considerably as 85% off, it’s the ideal time to treat your self to something you have been lusting after, or to try the brand for the initial time. Here are my favourite pieces, and you can see the complete sale here.

Luxury Knicker Critiques: La Lilouche & Agent Provocateur

Author: Estelle

Disclosure: I bought both products here with my personal money and was not asked to evaluation them. This post contains affiliate hyperlinks.

These days I bring you a couple of ‘brief’ testimonials, har har. I’ve fallen a small behind on the items I had planned to review and these knickers are both now sold out, but they’re pretty and I wanted to function them anyway. So rather than my usual, in-depth testimonials, I believed I’d bundle them with each other into one brief but image-heavy post. Enjoy!

La Lilouche Veronika knickers

My La Lilouche Adelle-Lana set is one of the most luxurious factors I’ve ever bought, and quite considerably the moment I received it and saw the high quality and detail first-hand I went back for more from her sample sale (nonetheless on, by the way).

I’m just so in adore with these Veronika knickers. They have basically almost everything on them – wet-look fabric, sheer fabric, appliqué, cut-out detail, 3D roses… require I go on? However with it all getting the very same colour it doesn’t appear like as well a lot. This is what I really like about La Lilouche so a lot of of her designs feature a multitude of diverse textures and fabrics that are blended perfectly together. The finish is artistic and unique and quite, extremely luxurious.

La Lilouche’s rates reflect the level of detail that goes into her pieces i.e. it’s costly, but it’s so worth each penny. I’ve now got my eye on the higher-waisted Alexina knickers, the button-up Leina knickers and, like, each other item in retailer.

line break

Agent Provocateur Bubbles knickers

I have long coveted Agent Provocateur‘s Bubbles line. I 1st wrote about it in the original black back in 2012 and it was 1 of those pieces I’d really regretted not getting after it had sold out, but then the planets aligned and they re-released it a handful of seasons later in my favourite colour, red.

As significantly as I love the aesthetics here, I ended up buying this on sale (one of the few pieces I said I’d allow myself to do that for in the course of my complete-priced only challenge) and I’m glad I did. The knickers do have a gusset but it’s a teeny tiny one that covers nothing, so with the ginormous gaps in this supersized net it’s just not really comfortable or, in my opinion, eye-catching to put on. I’m going to sew in a taller gusset myself!

The elastic trims around the leg openings have a tendency to turn over as I stroll and show the stitched-onto side, and the net itself is a loosely-woven and very easily-pulled type that’s currently rubbed thin nearly to the point of falling apart where it wraps around the gold ring at the back. I’ve bought rather a lot from Agent Provocateur more than the years and I have to say, this is the lowest-quality item of the lot. It’s nice to finally own one thing I’ve lusted following for so long, but honestly I sort of want I’d place the cash towards some thing else.

line break

What do you consider of these two pairs of knickers? Also, I’d enjoy to know if you favor my usual, detailed evaluations that cover match, durability and so on, or short and sweet ones like this? I do not review every little thing I purchase basically simply because I do not have the time, but I could consider carrying out much more typical mini evaluations like this if you’d be interested in them.

agent provocateur zuri basque

Zuri basque – Was £395, Now £70

Zuri thong – Was £55, Now £15

Zuri is a single of my favourite ever Agent Provocateur designs thanks to all that vibrant, tropical colour. This basque is now massively lowered, and though the thong is only left in one size, the basque would look just as lovely with a plain black short to match its sleek black sides.

agent provocateur ellin black bra suspender belt set

Ellin bra – Was £95, Now £30

Ellin suspender belt – Was £75, Now £20

Ellin knickers – Was £75, Now £20

This is a new, present-season design that I hadn’t really spotted just before these days, and I adore it! It functions barely-there silk cups, covered with sheer leavers lace that wraps right around the back, and is completed with unusual double straps and a peep-hole at the back of the brief.

agent provocateur willa navy blue lace bra set

Willa bra – Was £110, Now £55

Willa knickers – Was £85, Now £40

agent provocateur larisza black bra set

Larisza bra – Was £125, Now £30

Larisza thong – Was £95, Now £20

Yet another massive bargain at now just £50 for the set (and still obtainable in a wide range of sizes also), this gorgeous bra set is made from wet-appear lace shot through with silver metallic thread, and attributes buckles which you don’t usually see on lingerie.

agent provocateur callie silver lace bra

Callie bra – Was £75, Now £35

Callie suspender belt – Was £65, Now £30

Speaking of cutaway gores, here’s an additional! This is almost certainly my favourite set from the entire sale and it is surprisingly inexpensive for becoming Agent Provocateur. The sheer tulle characteristics an exclusive turquoise embroidery and sweeping scalloped edges. I’d be getting this set myself if I hadn’t already splurged on a new luxury set this month!

agent provocateur zahara gold lace bra set

Zahara bra – Was £345, Now £100

Zahara suspender belt – Was £395, Now £125

Zahara knickers – Was £225, Now £75

Component of Agent Provocateur’s deluxe Soirée line, this amazing bra set is created from decadent gold leavers lace, embroidered in raspberry-red for a warm shimmer. I want the gold stockings pictured here were nevertheless accessible – how amazing are gold stockings?!

agent provocateur lilian dress

agent provocateur lilian silk and lace inner dress

Lilian two-piece dress – Was £795, Now £395

Straddling the line between lingerie and outerwear, this two-piece dress characteristics a sleek satin inner dress topped with sheer, one particular-sleeved, eyelash-edged lace dress. Put on them separately or with each other for three various appears!

agent provocateur cathie navy blue lace dress

Cathie gown – Was £795, Now £395

How glamorous is this floor-sweeping sheer gown, in midnight blue lace? Like the piece above, this would make great outerwear too if worn more than a straightforward, physique-contoured mini or knee-length dress.

agent provocateur robyn strappy black silk bra set

Robyn bra – Was £95, Now £45

Robyn knickers – Was £85, Now £40

How unusual is this set?! I especially like the way the 3 cut-outs on the knicker look like petals, and the design is repeated at the back. It’s all created from glossy, sleek black silk with fairly, leavers lace inserts.

agent provocateur stevie black lace bra suspender belt set

Stevie bra – Was £125, Now £50

Stevie suspender belt – Was £110, Now £40

Stevie knickers – Was £85, Now £30

This unusual set is now significantly less than half value. It’s a truly enjoyable and different combination of soft, French lace with multiple gold eyelets – I feel like this bra is just crying out for a cropped denim jacket and cowboy hat!

agent provocateur emie red silk lace full length slip dress

Emie slip – Was £1,595, Now £795

I’ll finish with one that’s firmly on my lust list, simply because even at this reduced value it’s some thing of an investment – but if you can afford it, I can not think of a better way to treat oneself than with this drop-dead-gorgeous slip. Crafted from lipstick red silk with windows of scalloped lace and a low-reduce back, it is just breathtaking and some thing that will never go out of style.

Is there anything featured right here that you will be buying, or would get if money had been no object?

Agent Provocateur Waspie and Short. This is one of my wardrobe’s…

Agent Provocateur Waspie and Short. This is one of my wardrobe’s most enduring pairings. This waspie by Agent Provocateur is along the lines of 50′s shapewear. I wouldn’t contemplate it a corset (it is created from powermesh and satin) as it is stretchy, in spite of getting boned. It zips up the side to place on, but laces up at the back with a powerful corset-like grommets and cord. The zip provides the entry, the lacing offers the cinch. I contact it my ‘eating corset’! It shapes drastically, especially sharp into the correct waist, however is movable, breathable comfy. The boning has moulded delightfully to my body and the piece has 4 detachable garters. The powermesh and satin large brief also has four detachable garters, though in this instance, I’ve attached them to the waspie. These two pieces have been sold separately, each by AP, and purchased at various times, even though they match perfectly. The short gives a decent quantity of manage, even when worn on it’s personal, and is a single of my favourite, most dependable pieces for beneath dresses. It feels secure and functional whilst nevertheless hunting fantastic. Both pieces are very high good quality and if you can get your hands on comparable designs from Agent Provocateur I very recommend it as it is turned out to be my most sensible buy from them ever.

Splurge or Save? Agent Provocateur Vs. Ann Summers Red Satin & Pink Lace Bra

Author: Estelle

Disclaimer: This weblog post consists of affiliate links.

As quickly as I saw this Ann Summers Bette bra, it produced me feel of L’Agent’s Marisela bra – I thought the exciting red/pink might turn out to be a new colourway for the Marisela this season, which has so far been released in a slew of diverse clashing colour schemes such as blue/pink, teal/purple and mint/red.

As an alternative, it showed up at L’Agent’s parent brand Agent Provocateur, on this new-in Lucie bra. Lucie is the least expensive bra in Agent Provocateur’s present range, and as such it’s fairly easy – sleek silk topped with a band of Leavers lace. It is available in 32B by way of 36E.

Ann Summers’ Bette bra has the exact same plunge shape and padding, but with a wider lace flourish. The main difference is the fabric quality – polyester satin rather than silk satin, and a fairly but generic lace. It comes in a really similar size range of 32A by means of 38DD.

Personally, practically nothing about the Agent Provocateur Lucie bra kills me, and I’m drawn to the wider lace trim on Ann Summers’ Bettie. Also, I’ve been truly impressed with the top quality of my current Ann Summers purchases, although I haven’t seen this particular bra up close.

So for me, this one is absolutely a ‘Save’. How about you, which of the two bras would you go for?

Agent Provocateur 2015 ‘Holiday Season’ CampaignHow cute is…

Agent Provocateur 2015 ‘Holiday Season’ Campaign

How cute is Agent Provocateur’s kitschy snow’n’ski-themed vacation campaign?! Shot by one of my fave UK photographers to function with, Liz Collins, and featuring model and media character Abbey Clancy, the pictures showcase the AP pieces (from across the present mainline, swim and Soiree collections) that I’m certain any of us would be pleased to obtain as a gifts. In reality, I enjoy that the leading 3 issues on my personal Christmas Wishlist- the ‘Robyn’ bra and Ouvert, ‘Sherrie’ playsuit and ‘Molly’ bra, short and suspender- are included here.

Along with the campaigns that nail flawless, normal-setting luxury, ‘camp and cute,’ like this shoot, is when I feel Agent Provocateur is at their very best. Since personally, I think nothing at all goes greater with luxury lingerie than a good dose of entertaining. I will absolutely be packing some of these styles into my weekend bag when I head up to Tahoe in a handful of weeks… Thanks for the inspo AP!

Tiah’s Prime five Stockings Agent Provocateur, Micronet: I’ve in no way…

Tiah’s Best 5 Stockings

Agent Provocateur, Micronet: I’ve in no way had a pair of stockings that have lasted as long as these have, as effectively as going with every single piece of lingerie I own. They are, as you could probably guess by the name, a fishnet, albeit, a tiny 1. At a distance they look like a quite basic matte stocking. Up close, you can see the net and they feel incredible to wear (and to touch as a third celebration). The greatest portion? I bought these in 2006 and I have worn and washed them, very literally, HUNDREDS of instances. They nonetheless do not have a single run or hole and I am consequently convinced they are magic. I mean, that is NINE years. I’ve even shot them at the beach! The worst part? AP does not make them anymore (for the love of God, whhyyy?). If you’re fortunate, once in a blue moon a pair will pop up on eBay. Can we please petition Agent Provocateur to bring these back?

Cervin, Tentation. I’ve attempted numerous a completely-fashioned nylon over the years and these are my favourite. They are of the stunning French luxury good quality you would expect from Cervin, beautiful to wear and do not run simply. I adore a totally-fashioned nylon, but when I put on other brands’ they tend to get a number of little pulls all over them following only the first outing, but I don’t locate that the case with these. The style is gorgeous and genuine. Cervin also tends to make a range of retro style suspender belts which you can pair these with and I mix’n’match this versatile, classic combo to a lot of various lingerie.

Levante, Seamless Opaque Remain Ups. A winter should-have. When I lived in colder climates I tried, I swear, what must have been each and every pair of opaque keep-ups on the market place. Hated the lace-tops. Hated the stripe-tops. Hated the seamed bands. Hated the non-silicone banded ones that dig in. Of all locations, I located these in my hot-as-hell house country of Australia. Levante’s Seamless Opaque keep ups are, as the name suggests, completely smooth and seamless on best, That cleanness of line and lack of band tends to make them so ridiculously chic and versatile that I will by no means purchase an additional opaque keep-up once more. They are also warm and don’t slip due to three invisible bands inside. I have these in my standard size, but also, I have them in the smallest size they make, to put on as never-slip, more than-the-knee socks!

Leg Avenue, Seamed Stockings(1000). You may possibly be shocked that these would make my list, but they are outstanding for their cost, versatility and durability. At only few dollars a pair, they cost less than my morning cup of coffee. If run a ladder following a single wear, who cares? But funny thing is, they often don’t. I have pairs of these that have lasted years even though I have thrashed them. They are super simple, go with anything and come in four different colours. I buy in bulk so I’ve usually got some on hand for either shoots or individual use. Final time I found them in a retail retailer I paid $ ten for 5 pairs. They are amazing worth and the very best cheapies out there.

Wolford Fatal 15 Stay Ups. These are the very best black sheer remain-ups that exist in my opinion. They are so soft that I can not adequately express how good they feel to wear (I just got a tiny sensual chill considering about it). From the second you slip them on your legs are swathed in luxury. The good quality is supreme, incomparable. The band at the best is discreet, stunning in it’s simplicity, it does not dig in and it does not fall down- best. As is the level of sheerness. You could also don’t forget these from their starring function in a current Tom Ford collection, exactly where they had been visibly popping out from beneath skirts, dresses and slits on the runway. Tom gets it- although these are fantastic for pairing with lingerie or wearing often, they amazing enough in their own proper to be worn as the principal function of an outerwear ensemble. They are worth every single penny. If I had to put on only 1 pair of stockings for the rest of my life, Wolfords ‘Fatal 15′s’ would be it.
